JCC Day Camp

The position of Camp Registrar has been established to provide administrative and logistical support to the Camp Directors and programs of Camp Sisol and Camp Seneca Lake.. In addition, the Camp Registrar will serve as the primary source of customer service to all registered and prospective Camp families. The Camp Registrar will work in tandem with both Camp Directors to deliver exceptional customer service and to support the Camp operation in the months leading up to, and during the summer. Qualities such as reliability, attention to detail, ability to follow directions and a willingness to learn are vital to this position. The position requires the applicant to work out of the JCC of Greater Rochester during the calendar year, at least 2-4 years related experience or training, and at minimum high school degree or equivalent.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all current and prospective camp families.
  • Process registrations for over 750 unique campers, totaling approximately 4,000 camper weeks.
  • Maintain and update each camper account as new information is provided by families.
  • Responsible for all billing, refunds, credit card returns, and scholarship award entries for families.
  • Facilitate the mailing of Camp forms in the spring. Including printing, sorting, stuffing, and mailing.
  • Organize, catalog, and distribute (as appropriate) Camp forms upon the return to the Camp office
  • Communicate with first time Camp families in early spring by phone or email, directly.
  • Send out Camp invoices during the months leading up to the payment deadlines.
  • Process any additional revenue generated by Camp (rental groups and third-party payments).
  • Serve, as needed, as a proof-reader for all Camp literature (web, print, and email).
  • Coordinate Camp logistics for opening and closing days, as directed.
  • Provide summer office support for the Camp office, including printing labels, returning phone calls, ordering supplies, arranging lost and found, coordinating medication pick-ups, etc.
  • Think strategically about how Camp can constantly improve customer service for families.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Camp Directors, or the Camp Directors supervisor.
